Meaning
The Shri Vyankatesh Stotra is a "Prarthana Shatak" (Century of Prayers) composed by saint-poet Devidas. It contains 108 verses of heartfelt supplication to Lord Venkateshwara (Balaji/Srinivasa). The stotra begins with salutations to Ganesha and the Guru (verses 1-4), then remembers the Lord's grace (5-9), confesses one's faults and unworthiness (10-36), invokes the Lord's divine names (37-51), describes His beautiful saguna form from feet to crown (52-69), performs worship through the sixteen upacharas (70-76), offers victorious prayers (77-89), and concludes with the phalshruti — the divine promise of Lord Venkateshwara Himself that whoever recites this stotra with faith will have all wishes fulfilled (90-108).
