Meaning
The Shri Vishnu Stotra describes the divine form of Lord Vishnu. He is of serene countenance, reclining on Shesha Naga, with a lotus in his navel, the support of the universe, cloud-colored, consort of Lakshmi, lotus-eyed, bearing conch, discus, mace and lotus in four hands. The famous verse 'Tvameva Mata cha Pita Tvameva' (You alone are my mother and father) is part of this stotra. It concludes with the auspicious verse 'Mangalam Bhagavan Vishnu' (Lord Vishnu is all-auspicious).
Benefits
Reciting Vishnu Stotra destroys the fear of worldly existence (bhavabhaya). It removes all calamities and bestows auspicious results. Recitation on Ekadashi and Thursdays is especially beneficial. It destroys all inauspiciousness and bestows the grace of Lord Vishnu.
