Meaning
This bhajan describes the glory of Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj of Akkalkot. 'Nishank Hoi Re Mana' means 'Be fearless, O mind' — let go of all doubts because Swami Samarth is behind you. Swami, who resides in Akkalkot, is an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya. He removes devotees' sorrows, cures diseases, and eliminates poverty. He is Trigunatmak — embodying Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh — and is of the nature of Sat-Chit-Ananda (Truth-Consciousness-Bliss). Cholappa, Balappa, and Krishnanand Bidkar are among Swami's foremost devotees. 'Nishchayache Bal Tukaram, Ananyasharan Swami Samarth' is the foundational mantra of the Swami tradition.
