Meaning
Manache Shlok is an extremely popular spiritual poem in Marathi composed by Samarth Ramdas Swami. With a total of 205 verses, Ramdas Swami counsels the mind. Follow the path of devotion, never abandon good conduct, discard sinful resolves, hold truthful resolutions, keep the company of the virtuous, abandon pride-jealousy-anger-lust, always chant Rama's name, maintain discrimination, and wear out the body in service of God, Dharma, and the needy. The famous saying 'Manacheye shatru mananech mari' (The enemies of the mind must be conquered by the mind itself) is from this composition.
