Meaning
Pasaydan is the benediction sought by Sant Dnyaneshwar from the Universal God at the end of Dnyaneshwari. He prays that evil be destroyed, friendship grow among all beings, darkness of ignorance be dispelled, every creature's wishes be fulfilled, and an atmosphere of auspiciousness prevail everywhere. Haripath is a collection of 28 abhangs emphasizing the importance of chanting God's name. Dnyaneshwar declares that all four castes have the right to Namasmaran (chanting God's name).
Benefits
Pasaydan is one of the most sacred prayers in Maharashtra. It is recited at the end of every satsang, kirtan, and religious program. Regular recitation of Haripath increases devotion, brings mental peace, and eases the path to liberation. These abhangs hold supreme importance in the Warkari tradition.
