Om - The Supreme

Yajamahe - We worship, we offer
Sugandhim - The fragrant one (spiritual fragrance from self-realization)
Pushti-Vardhanam - The nourisher, increaser of life force
Urvarukamiva - Like a cucumber (as a ripe cucumber easily separates from the vine)
Bandhanan - From bondage
Mrityor - From death
Mukshiya - May liberate
Maamritaat - Do not deprive of immortality
Complete meaning: We worship the three-eyed Lord Shiva, who is fragrant and nourishes all beings. As a ripe cucumber is easily freed from its vine, may He liberate us from the bondage of death, but not from immortality.
